To reinforce our skills and knowledge, we actively participate in professional associations and continuing education. Major & Company provides professional forest management and real estate services to private landowners in South and North Carolina. Our clients own large and small tracts of land in rural counties as well as properties in the path of urban development. When it comes to selling timber, we can make a real difference. Under your direction, our foresters will lay out timber sale boundaries, designate the timber products to be sold, provide an accurate estimate of the volume and value of those products, effectively market your timber, gather and evaluate timber bids, and ensure that an appropriate timber sale agreement is prepared that protects your interests. Then, we will supervise the logging operation to ensure that the conditions of your timber sales agreement are met and that your forest land is properly cared for before, during, and after the harvest. We stay abreast of the timber markets and have extensive experience with the valuation of forest products, such as pulpwood, chip-n-saw, sawtimber, veneer, and pine poles. Our understanding of these stumpage markets helps us to get you, our client, top dollar for your timber. We are NOT affiliated with any forest products industry or government agency. We work for YOU!
